This is a program built of 8 APPOINTMENTS, workshops, throughout the year 2023/2024 and will allow students to receive a certificate of participation in the technical program designed by the Teacher and Choreographer of The Washington Ballet MIMMO MICCOLIS.
The Workshop gives the opportunity to get to know the style of Mimmo Miccolis who blends elements of different styles of contemporary dance with classical technique. The workshop tests the dancers through a series of energetic and dynamic exercises that will allow participants the pleasure of moving the body in space by exploring their physical limits. The class is fun, dynamic and energetic and encourages dancers to use movement as a means of exploration and expression by emphasizing tempo, musicality, physicality and expressiveness. The Workshop is specially designed for the online lessons.

ADC|IBC is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3), Youth International Scholarship Ballet Competition for all nationalities, ages 9-21, that was formed in 2005. Over the last decade, the organization has developed into a leader in its field with an ever growing network that helps connect and facilitate the progress of professional training. The event serves as an annual meeting ground for dancers, teachers, directors, choreographers, professionals, dance media, vendors and dance lovers. With more than $250,000 in scholarship funds being awarded each year through the collaborative efforts of our Scholarship Partners, we are able to carry out our NON PROFIT MISSION to place students into professional training programs.
Exciting New Opportunity ADC IBC – Youth International Ballet Competition 2024. At the completion of Round 1 evaluations, a set amount of students will be selected to perform in Mimmo Miccolis’ contemporary work in the final Gala. There will be approximately 2 rehearsals per day for this piece, which will build on choreography explored from first round. Additional details to be found on the ADC-IBC daily schedules.

THE ART OF MOVEMENT
SUMMER 2024 at The Orlando Ballet School.
The ART of MOVEMENT is a Ballet/Contemporary Summer Intensive hosting it’s seventh Orlando intensive. Students will work with our world class faculty who will train in a hands on environment. This program was founded to provide gifted dancers with a true intensive and mentoring program.
THE WASHINGTON BALLET – SUMMER INTENSIVE
June/July 2024 The Washington Ballet, Washington DC.
The Washington School of Ballet’s Summer Intensive gives students from around the world the opportunity to study with our acclaimed full-year faculty including members of The Washington Ballet Company artistic staff and Artistic Director Julie Kent. Men’s division classes are led by Rinat Imaev, Rolando Sarabia, and Mimmo Miccolis. The Summer Intensive offers a five-week course for The Upper Division.
AKHMEDOVA BALLET ACADEMY – SUMMER INTENSIVE
July/August 2024 at The AKHMEDOVA BALLET ACADEMY
Each student is given an opportunity to learn a solo variation and an ensemble piece to be performed at the end of the intensive in studio. This summer intensive is a fun and engaging way to offer an excellent introduction or continuation to the Vaganova Method of Ballet.
SPRING SEMINAR 2024 -VANCOUVER

The Vancouver Ballet Society
The Spring Seminar is a week-long workshop for dance students aged 11-18 yrs, held at the Scotiabank Dance Centre, 677 Davie Street in Vancouver. This year, we welcome Mimmo Miccolis from Washington Ballet as the contemporary teacher and Claudia De Smet, a freelance Balletmaster in close collaboration with Angelin Preljocaj as the ballet teacher. Auditions are required.
For one week during March break, the VBS brings in accomplished teachers from Canada and abroad to lead the dance intensive, culminating in a presentation of both intermediate and advanced levels. Students spend half the day in ballet classes and the other half of the day in contemporary classes, coming together for lunch time presentations and meetings.
At the end of the week long intensive, the students present a performance in the Faris Theatre. The guest faculty select students who will be awarded scholarships, which they receive at the performance. Each year through fundraising efforts, approximately $15,000 are awarded to young dancers from British Columbia. The VBS has been doing this for the past 20 years.
