MOSAIC
MOSAIC unfolds like a film played in reverse, beginning at the end, in that fleeting moment when we realize just how beautiful it was to be free, to be truly ourselves.
The story follows a young woman who no longer recognizes the world around her, a place where she cannot be who she is, nor become who she dreams to be. Yet, memories of the past flicker like warm light: a time when life was joyful, when people lived in harmony, embracing one another’s differences.
As the choreography shifts back into the present, a couple steps into focus. Their connection symbolizes the human need for closeness, the comfort we seek in one another when the world feels uncertain. In their duet, we witness both fragility and resilience.
In the second part of the duet, the two young people choose to close their eyes, escaping the sadness of the present by retreating into memory. It is a quiet act of resistance, a reminder that we must not forget.
When they open their eyes again, they are no longer alone. Around them stands a community, others who, like them, are struggling, hoping, enduring. Together, they begin to find strength, refusing to give in.
The final image is simple yet powerful: an embrace. A gesture of trust, of courage, of the will to keep going. In the background, the protagonist reaches toward this embrace, toward connection, toward hope… but her journey is not yet over. To be continued.
MOSAIC is a tribute to individuality and the beauty of our differences. Through movement, it speaks of loss and longing, but also of unity and hope. It reminds us that even in the darkest moments, the essence of who we are, and the bonds we share, can guide us home.
