Italian composer, violin player and conductor, Francesco Germini is in the limelight of the international musical circle as a specialized ballet music composer. He has recently worked on several projects for higher education, based on the dramaturgy of Viviana Sassi, in collaboration with the well-known choreographer and director of the educational area of Aterballetto, Arturo Cannistr\u00e0, with whom he has made very successful productions. He has also written music for new choreographies of contemporary ballets appreciated abroad, in which he uses both electronics and traditional instruments. He has achieved important recognitions, together with Mimmo Miccolis, who has an innovative conception of dance through which he got various awards, thanks to Germini\u2019s peculiar kind of music,  such as \u201cPROTEST\u201d and \u201cRISK\u201d, with the dancers of The Washington Ballet\/Trainees, performed at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage (Washington DC, February 2020), \u201dSORPASSI\u201d, Winner of the Grand Prix at the DC Grand Prix (Washington DC, June 2019), \u201cMAY MARCH\u201d, with the dancers of The Washington Ballet Trainee Program, commissioned by the Xiomara Reyes, performed at THEARC (Washington DC, June 2018), \u201dFIRSTS\u201d, with the dancers of The Washington Ballet Trainee Program, commissioned by the Italian Institute of Culture and the Embassy of Italy, performed at the Italian Embassy (Washington, May 2018), \u201d(A)MORI\u201d, commissioned by the Milwaukee Ballet, premiered by the MBII at The Pabst (Milwaukee \u2013 Wisconsin, USA, February 2018), \u201cAETERNA\u201d, with the dancers of the TWB Studio Company, commissioned by Julie Kent, performed for Vine\u2019s Affaire Italian Embassy (Washington DC, January 2018), \u201cINTERROTTO\u201d, commissioned by Lila S\u00e8ber, Director of the S\u00e8ber Method Academy (Washington DC, November 2018), \u201cFORZA\u201d, \u201cFRIZZANTE\u201d, \u201cMAGNETIC WAVES\u201d, \u201cHECTIC\u201d, \u201c49\u201d, \u201cSOGNO\u201d, \u201cINTEMPO\u201d and \u201cOAO\u201d, commissioned by Xiao Chen, Director of the Morning Star Dance Academy (Atlanta \u2013 Georgia, USA, November 2017), \u201cWHO WHEN WHY\u201d, with TWB Company, commissioned by Julie Kent, performed for \u201cAmerica Now:JFK 100\u201d at National Portrait Gallery\/Smithsonian American Art Museum (Washington DC, June 2017), \u201cEND\u201d with the TWB Company, commissioned by the World Bank, performed at the World Bank (Washington DC, October-November 2016). Miccolis is very popular because of his great success in the YAGP (Youth American Grand Prix) Outstanding Choreographer Award 2015, which is the most important American competition for dancers and choreographers from all over the world. This is a singular recognition for the creation of five contemporary ballets, all of them with Germini\u2019s music. For both Miccolis\u2019s choreographies \u201cLust, Lost, Last\u201d and \u201cRights (?)\u201d Germini wrote original music. The last one was premiered at Bernie Grant Arts Center in London, where Germini met Miccolis for the first time in 2011. In the United Kingdom, Germini reached the heart of London with the music of the contemporary Flash mob with Miccolis\u2019s choreography and 140 dancers, during the OBR UK Art Festival. The Maestro is the author and the producer of the music for the contemporary dance piece \u201cRights (?)\u201d (American version) and \u201cGrowth\u201d, with the choreography of both Miccolis and Gloria Benedikt, premiered on 22nd July, 2014 at Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., with the support of the Italian Embassy in Washington, the Italian Institute of Culture and The Washington Ballet. The artistic partnership between Germini and Miccolis became more solid with the composition and production of the music of \u201cWhite\u201d, choreographed by Miccolis, world premiered on 13th December 2014 at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C., always with the support of the Italian Embassy in Washington, the Italian Institute of Culture and The Washington Ballet. After he got the violin diploma, he perfected himself with M\u00b0 Moshe Murvitz, concertmaster of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. He attended Masters in composition and orchestral conducting in Germany, in England and in the USA. In 2010, he attended the film music course at the London Film Academy and in 2009\/2010 the first soundtrack composition master at Vecchi-Tonelli\u201d Music Institute in Modena (Italy), where he graduated with the maximum score. He composed music for documentaries, signature notes and multimedia projects. He wrote the music piece \u201cKi Ki So So Lla Gye Lo\u201d (The gods will win) a Symphony for Tibet, dedicated to His Holiness XIV Dalai Lama and the not-violent struggle of the Tibetan people, performed, for the first time, on the occasion of the Dalai Lama Italian coming in 1999. A year later, he held the office of guest conductor of the Youth Orchestra of Greater Fort Worth, Texas and he was a member of the Dallas World Symphony Orchestra during the American Tour of the Italian world famous singer Andrea Bocelli. In 2005\/2006, he conducted the Italian operas \u201cRigoletto\u201d and \u201cLa Boh\u00e8me\u201d in Italy and he composed music for ballet performances in various theatres, such as \u201cOmaggio a Chopin, il poeta del pianoforte\u201d for the Comunale Theatre of Bologna. The London period was very prolific for Germini for his short movies music. He wrote the music for \u201cKiss. Chase\u201d by Tobias Zaldua, \u201cThe paintbrush\u201d by the British visual artist Sarah Peace and \u201cStolen Light fundraising promo\u201d by Riccardo Sai. His intense music activity takes him from Emilia Romagna where he lives to different countries, such as the United Kingdom, the USA and Europe, particularly London and Washington DC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
